Team Fortress 2 Pyro Pack by Habboi Team Fortress 2 Pyro Pack by Habboi
A collaboration between APesquera and Habboi.

A TF2 Pyro pack I've been working on with Apesquera for a while now. I've sent it to Valve and hopefully it will get in.

"The Extinguisher"

The name is a joke since the Pyro uses a flamethrower to obviously burn things and my design incorporates a modern day extinguisher as the gas cylinder.

While designing the flamethrower I tried to incorporate ideas that I thought would make it appear "cool" in the eyes of the players I'm targetting.

The handle is based on a samurai katana's hilt, the flame is powered by an old car battery and the extinguisher nozzle has holes cut into it because I imagined the Pyro would add such a customisation. I had also planned to add a tiny spy head charm that was tied on to one of the handle holes with a string but it caused too many clipping issues and I would have had to rig it to use jiggle bones.

Finally the bottom of the extinguisher was flat and boring so I painted a face on it but my drawing skills aren't amazing so I asked a fellow artist named APesquera. So big thanks to him.

The face was added as a way of saying to other players "Here comes a Pyro, f**king run!" I made sure it was on a seperate texture sheet so the community can paint their own faces. If the weapon does get put into the game I expect someone will eventually mod a "troll face" on to it."

"The Matchstick"

The shotgun idea was drawn by APesquera and was modelled by me (Habboi). The first texture pass was done by me and it was later touched up by APesquera.

The design stays true to the original shotgun but incorporates extra details that make it look unique.

"The Smasher"

The hammer design was drawn by APesquera and modelled by me (Habboi). The textures were painted by APesquera and slightly edited by me.

The design is based off the engineer's level 3 sentry rocket launcher and gives a rare glimpse of what it looks like inside. Turns out, nothing amazing.

Would you happen to have a downloadable skin for any of the items? Thank you so much for your contributions :D

What's the yay for?

That's kind of mean actually cause for a minute I thought it meant that had got into the game. Damn you!

I like the Matchstick and Smasher (although Blu matchstick uses blue matches, which gives it an unfair advantage. ^^), but I really don't see how the Extinguisher has a katana hilt.

Look at the handle on this picture.

Also I don't understand what you mean by the blue matchstick having blue matches? The red matchstick has red matches as well so how is it unfair?

Ah, ok. Looks kind of cool now, actually.

Blue phosphorus was used in early matches because it lights on any surface (more volatile), but for safety reasons, they switched to red. Somehow though, I don't think safety is a consideration in a game where hand grenade are used as melee weapons, and rocket-jumping is encouraged.

I too had a similar idea about a new shotgun for the pyro. Only with incendiary rounds.

It's a real thing. FPS Russia did it. Youtube it.

these are really nice looking designs/3d work.
I love how the red extinguisher has the face that makes the blue face look like it could be running away from it >XD

Yeah the faces were inspired by the face on the backburner.

Glad you like it.
